The Craft

Eight hands,
one sphere.

A football is a small, exacting object. This is how ours is made — the same sequence that built the balls of 1998, refined by everything learned since.

The process

From sheet to sphere.

Order matters here — each step depends on the one before it.

01

Materials in

Microfibre, recycled PU, PU and TPU arrive and are inspected. Nothing enters the floor that would not survive a match.

02

Lamination

Cover material is laminated with its lining fabrics — Polyester/Cotton, Viscose and Nylex — over PE and Latex foams, with rubber sheets reserved for the top-end balls. The build-up of layers is what separates a ClubBall from an EliteBall.

03

Panels cut

Individual panels are cut from the laminated sheets — 32, 18, 8, 6 or 4, depending on the ball.

04

Printing

Panels are printed and finished by hand — always in solvent-proof, two-component inks: water-repellent, and holding their quality for far longer on the pitch. Colourway, crest, sponsor, competition marks. This is where a ball becomes yours.

05

Bladders

Butyl, latex, SR and SR-winding bladders are gathered, inflated and checked for leaks before they ever go inside a ball.

06

Closing

The ball is closed by one of five methods — first among them our exclusive SublimeWeld™, then hand-stitched, machine-stitched, thermo bonded, or hybrid.

07

Proof

Inflation, then testing: sphericity, rebound, air and shape retention, water uptake. Balls are checked once more for leaks.

08

Wash, deflate, pack

The finished balls are washed, deflated and boxed — ready for a season, or a tournament.

Materials

What a ball is made of.

Covers & linings

Microfibre · PU · Polyester/Cotton · Viscose · Nylex

Microfibre and recycled PU for elite play, PU and TPU where durability leads — laminated over Polyester/Cotton, Viscose and Nylex linings with PE and Latex foams, and rubber sheets on the top-end balls.

Bladders

Butyl · Latex · SR · SR Winding

Butyl holds air longest; latex gives the softest touch; SR winding adds shape memory.

Quality standards

Three standards.
One promise.

We hold our own naming. The testing behind each standard is the real thing.
